My Story
I was born in Wisconsin, grew up in Ohio, and currently live in the beautiful Rocky Mountains of Utah
I’ve always been interested in technology and creating things. I bought my 1st computer, a Commodore 64, with money earned mowing lawns and babysitting. My 1st woodworking project was a custom hutch to hold the C64 and all its peripherals off my desk to leave room for drawing and drafting.
I have a wonderful family with 4 creative, talented children and one equally talented daughter-in-law. We enjoy all things Star Wars, cosplaying, gaming, and debating about all of those topics.
I’ve got my degree in elementary education, but have worked in IT my entire career. I worked my way up from lab assistant to Director of Technology in a school district, worked for an Internet startup (American Cybercasting), helped found a managed services company (Centric Technologies) and currently work as the IT Manager and OT Engineer for a manufacturing company with 14 plants across the US and Mexico.
I enjoy being creative and have a side business, No Problem Props, where I create movie prop replicas and other 3D printed and woodworking creations. I enjoy slinging my wares at comic cons where I get paid to cosplay and have a great time with my family.
I also love animals and share my home with my dog Atari and an ever-changing number of cats and fish. My backyard houses chicken, quail, and many bird feeders to attract other flying friends.
